Fri 29th Mar 2024

Proving once again that Ardmore’s sites operate at the forefront of industry best practice, Canada Water received an exceptional Considerate Constructors report ending another year of continuous improvement across the business.

Canada Water scored an impressive 42 out of a possible 50 on the scheme, an improvement over the score of 41 achieved on its first audit. The scheme monitor congratulated our excellent approach to health and safety and praised our attitude towards our workforce, noting that:

“Provisions for the workforce can now be considered to be exemplary with health checks for the workforce being introduced and initiatives to encourage disadvantaged groups into the industry being established.

“Arrangements in place to interact with and support the local community also remain excellent overall, with comprehensive plans to leave a legacy having been drawn and beginning to be implemented.”

Since becoming an associate member in 2010, our average score has improved year-on-year, and in 2016 scores were the best they have ever been. Over half of all visits achieved a score of over 40, demonstrating some of the highest levels of achievement with the scheme.

Ardmore’s 2016 average score of 39.27 is 11% higher than the industry average of 35.44, and represents an increase of over 6% on our 2013 average score of 36.72.

The annual average scores in full:

  • 2016 Average: 39.27
