In the beginning...
1974
Founded by brothers Patrick and Cormac Byrne, Ardmore first begins trading as a small general building firm in Brixton, South London
1984
Ardmore grows to a turnover of £25m after becoming a key fit-out subcontractor to Bovis Construction. This proved a spring board for further success, giving the group the opportunity to prove its capability to deliver larger scale projects
1990
By the late 80’s / early 90’s the company is recognised by Barratt Housing as one of their key main contractors
1994
Ardmore moves from Brixton to Enfield, North London, establishing it’s Byrne House office as well as extensive manufacturing and production facilities in Brimsdown

Ardmore is selected as the first tier-one contractor at the Athletes’ Village, proudly supporting London 2012
2011
Corinthia London opens its doors as one of London’s most luxurious hotels following Ardmore’s extensive renovation that comprehensively transformed the historic site
2014
Ardmore completes the 43-storey Stratford Halo – one of London’s tallest residential buildings
2015
A landmark year with Ardmore appointed on several of the highest profile schemes in London, including Ten Trinity Square, Chelsea Waterfront and Ram Quarter
2017
Ardmore moves closer to London, as we move out of Byrne House and open our brand new offices at Wharf Studios in Islington
Where we are today
We offer fixed price certainty on projects up to £200m. Everything from multiphase regeneration schemes with dense urban housing to high-rise developments, luxury residential projects and bespoke hotels.
We are now synonymous with London. We know London, we understand its geography, its infrastructure and its people. We love the city with a passion.
We’re also the contractor of choice when it comes to preserving the capital’s heritage whether that is preserving a listed feature or renovating an iconic building to its former glory.
