In the beginning...

Founded by brothers Patrick and Cormac Byrne, Ardmore first begins trading as a small general building firm in Brixton, South London

Ardmore grows to a turnover of £25m after becoming a key fit-out subcontractor to Bovis Construction. This proved a spring board for further success, giving the group the opportunity to prove its capability to deliver larger scale projects

By the late 80’s / early 90’s the company is recognised by Barratt Housing as one of their key main contractors

Ardmore moves from Brixton to Enfield, North London, establishing it’s Byrne House office as well as extensive manufacturing and production facilities in Brimsdown

The biggest developers know we'll deliver. They respect our integrity, our creativity, our resourcefulness and our determination in fulfilling a brief. We solve problems rather than find fault.

“I was amazed with the scale and complexity of the renovation of the Corinthia. Some of the work has been ingenious and I could hardly believe that the entire internal structure of the building could be removed and rebuilt without removing the façade.

“Ardmore’s management and organisation of such was most impressive even by military standards.”

Richard Parry, Ministry of Defence
