As many of our projects are situated in demanding urban locations, with limited working space and poor site access, logistics management has become ever more critical. Our professional teams, both office and site based, undertake detailed planning prior to the commencement of works to ensure that the project can be serviced efficiently and the needs of all stakeholders, including local residents, owners and the site users can be met.
From our highly accessible North London warehousing and logistics facility we take delivery of all bulk purchases where materials are first logged, checked for compliance and held pending scheduled site delivery by our dedicated fleet. Our comprehensive stock and vehicle tracking systems ensure that each site receives only the materials they need, when they need them. In turn this has demonstrably reduced waste through loss, damage or theft.
The benefits of the ‘Just In Time’ system extend across the company to include our off-site production facilities. By co-ordinating our call-off and procurement schedules with our production facilities we are able to deliver programme efficiencies and reduce storage requirements both on and off-site.
