Ardmore: We’re backing apprenticeshipsSat 22nd Sep 2018
Ardmore joined policy makers at CITB’s ‘I’m Backing Apprenticeships’ reception in the Houses of Parliament last Wednesday.
Ardmore’s employment and skills manager Eillish Kwai met MPs including Stephen Hammond MP, Stephen Timms MP, Ruth Cadbury MP and Neil Coyle MP to help encourage young people to consider a career in construction.
Skills Minister Nick Boles MP set out his vision for apprenticeships, stressing the important role construction has to play in boosting apprenticeships, while delegates also heard from CITB Chairman, James Wates CBE.
Since starting its apprentice programme in 2011, Ardmore has recruited and trained over 60 apprentices. This year has seen large intakes of apprentices through the Ardmore pre-apprenticeship program, including six at its Fulbourne Road scheme in Walthamstow, three mechanics at its Enfield Head Office and a further three at its Canaletto project in City Road.
