Ram Quarter recognised at the Considerate Constructors National Site Awards 2017Sun 20th Aug 2017
Ardmore is celebrating another consecutive year of success at the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s National Site Awards, with Ram Quarter picking up a bronze award in the 2017 awards.
The Scheme praised Ardmore’s exceptional performance and recognised the outstanding efforts of our site team as they announced the award earlier this month.
The aim of the Scheme is to improve the image of construction and reward those who are performing at the highest levels. The Scheme’s National Site Awards are one of the most revered accolades within the UK construction industry, recognising sites that have demonstrated the very highest level of consideration in respect of the community, environment and workforce.
Following their latest site visit to Ram Quarter in December, the Scheme monitor praised the external appearance of the site, noting that:
“The excellent standards noted on my first visit to the project have been maintained and the site remains extremely well presented projecting a positive image.”
The Scheme monitor also commended our work with the local community, particularly within the work carried out with local residents and educational facilities:
“There continues to be an exceptional level of community engagement specifically with educational establishments in the vicinity; further visits have taken place by students to view work in progress. Contributions have been made to the Salvation Army to enable food parcels to be distributed. Assistance continues to be given to the micro-brewery on the site and funding has been provided to enable social engagement for visitors.
“There has been an exceptional level of engagement with disadvantaged groups specifically with offenders due to be released from Wandsworth Prison; training has been provided and employment offered. A wide selection of occupational health information is displayed and health screening is scheduled for operatives.”
In addition, the site received ‘exceptional’ scoring for Respecting the Community, Securing Everyone’s Safety and Valuing our Workforce.
Ardmore has been on site at the £160m Ram Quarter scheme since June last year, when we took over from an enabling works contractor. Currently our work includes the refurbishment of the existing historic brewery complex and the construction of 324 new homes within six new blocks.
As an associate member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, all of our sites operate in accordance with the scheme’s stringent guidelines.
