Work is under way to regenerate a derelict site in Tower Hamlets that will deliver new homes and community facilities including a church, hospital, commercial space, children’s play area and public open space. The project, which is being led by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Genesis Housing Association, will create 139 homes, 45 of which will be affordable and 94 for private rent or owner occupation. Ardmore, through its joint venture with First Base, has been appointed as main contractor. The HCA used its Delivery Partner Panel (DPP) to speed up the procurement process, leading to the delivery of priority homes in the borough at the earliest opportunity.
