Connecting Women to Construction: Empowering the Future of the Industry
We recently hosted 17 inspiring students from The Skills Centre at West Cromwell Road. These candidates are currently completing their document controller development programme, and as part of their training, we provided them with a site visit, offering a valuable opportunity to gain deeper insights into the construction industry and connect with women already making an impact in the field.
The day was filled with inspiration and learning as several remarkable women from our team shared their unique career journeys and offered invaluable career advice. These personal stories highlighted the diverse paths women can take within the construction sector, showcasing the many opportunities for growth and success.
In addition to hearing from our team members, the candidates had the chance to explore the site, engaging directly with our site team members. They learned more about the ongoing projects, gained hands-on knowledge, and had the opportunity to ask questions and get to know the roles and responsibilities that make construction projects come to life.
This site visit was more than just an educational experience—it was a chance for these future professionals to network and build connections within the industry, empowering them as they take their next steps in the construction field.
