We went behind the hoardings at Hackney Yards, where we are making excellent progress across each of the four new build blocks we’re building for Notting Hill Genesis.
The new facades are well underway in two of the blocks, with precast cladding and brickwork starting later this month. Internal works and façade framing are taking shape in another block, and the team is getting more ready for installation.
We’re also gearing up for another key milestone as the superstructure of the final block kicks off in October!
Given our proximity to Network Rail – each blocks sits next to or above Hackney Wick Station – , our team continues to maintain close coordination through structured communication, design, submissions, and regular interface meetings, ensuring safety and compliance at every stage.
When complete, Hackney Yards will deliver 190 new homes and over 40,000 sqft of commercial space right in the heart of Hackney Wick. Spread across four new buildings, the scheme brings together affordable rent and shared ownership homes, along with retail, community and leisure spaces designed to reflect the area’s creative energy.
