From a former industrial site to 161 affordable homes on the Thames.
At 3 Thames Road in Newham, we are transforming a constrained 0.4ha brownfield site into a striking new residential development that will deliver 161 affordable homes in one of East London’s fastest-evolving neighbourhoods.
Set on the north bank of the Thames, the scheme comprises three residential blocks rising from 8 to 12 storeys, with a robust architectural identity shaped through high-quality facing brick, feature banding and piers.
We are currently fitting out all three blocks, brick façade works are advancing with stone banding details being installed, and we have started landscaping the community roof terraces.
Delivering a project like this in a tightly constrained urban setting takes more than technical expertise.
With existing buildings bordering the site on three sides, careful planning and smart sequencing have been critical. Ardmore’s phased construction strategy has helped navigate complex logistics while keeping the project firmly on programme.
This is more than a residential scheme. It is part of the wider regeneration of Newham, creating high-quality, affordable homes in a well-connected riverside location and supporting the borough’s long-term growth.
