Ardmore Delivers New Hotel for Dorsett

Sat 27th Apr 2024

Ardmore has successfully delivered the 4-star Dorsett Shepherds Bush Hotel for Dorsett Hospitality International as part of a major refurbishment of the Shepherds Bush Pavilion.

The hotel, which held its soft opening last month, is set within the Grade II listed Pavilion building, formerly a cinema, built in 1923. The Dorsett Shepherds Bush offers 317 “Chinese inspired” bedrooms, an executive lounge, and two restaurants, as well as a spa, and meeting rooms.

The challenging design and build contract, which Ardmore delivered in just 2 years, included the retention of the building’s historic façade and replacement of the iconic vaulted glass roof.

Working with architects Flanagan Lawrence and KDS Associates, and structural engineers Malachy Walsh & Partners, Ardmore was able to produce a high quality hotel, building on its enviable track record within the hotel sector.

Cormac Byrne, Ardmore’s managing director said: “I am extremely proud of the Ardmore team who have worked so hard to deliver this technically demanding project.

“It has been an extremely complex project to deliver; the building’s Grade II listing required the façade and two sides of the building to remain intact whilst the rest of the building was demolished and the iconic curved roof replaced with a vaulted glass roof.

I am delighted that we have been able to add to our reputation for consistently delivering challenging projects to the highest quality.”
