Landmark scheme transforms East Putney

Tue 19th Mar 2024

Ardmore has completed its Carlton House in East Putney, a complex residential development transforming the site of an old office block into 73 new homes.

Successfully delivering the project required a meticulously planned approach in order to maintain access to an existing road that runs through the middle of the site.

Through careful logistics planning and a detailed temporary works solution for structural support and public protection Ardmore were able to demolish the existing building, which spanned over the road, and construct the new building over the top.

Ardmore provided specialist technical and buildability advice under a pre-construction services agreement prior to the project starting, ensuring a prompt start on site once the design and contract negotiations were completed.

Completed in summer 2019, Carlton House has created 58 private sale homes and 15 shared ownership homes for the residents of Putney.

Steven Waite, A2Dominion’s Director of Technical and Commercial, said: “We have enjoyed working in partnership with Ardmore on this scheme.

“We are excited to have Carlton House complete this summer. The scheme showcases the high quality homes A2Dominion is developing in Greater London adding a further 73 new homes for the residents in Putney.”

James Byrne, Ardmore Director, said:

“Carlton House has been a fantastic project to work on and we’re very proud of the finished product, which underlines both the expertise of A2Dominion’s team and Ardmore’s own delivery capability.

“A2Dominion have been a fantastic client and it’s been a privilege to have supported them to deliver this landmark scheme”
