Neighbouring Heathside & Lethbridge sites get glowing Considerate Constructors Scheme reports

Competition was understandably fierce when monitors from the Considerate Constructors Scheme visited Phases 3 and 4 of our Heathside & Lethbridge scheme within a few days of each other recently. With the two sites just a few metres from each other, both project teams would have been hoping for bragging rights over which phase was the most considerate.

However, both sites were remarkably awarded exactly the same score, both receiving an impressive 42 from of a possible 50. The teams were praised for their exceptional performance respecting the community, securing everyone’s safety and valuing the workforce, and were congratulated for promoting the image of the industry to an excellent standard.

Described as an ‘excellent’ site with an ‘exceptional’ approach to safety and care for the workforce, we have been actively working on Heathside & Lethbridge since 2010 and we have been the main contractor on the completed Phase 2 and ongoing Phases 3 and 4 – delivering almost 650 residential units and community facilities.

On both Phases, the Considerate Constructors Scheme singled out our approach to community engagement for praise, with the scheme monitor for Phase 3 noting:

“First impressions continue to be excellent. Community engagement is very strong with special attention to local community activities and events. Commitment to apprentices and women in construction including work experience opportunities is impressive.”

Not to be outshone, the Phase 4 team received similar commendation for their work with the local community, with their scheme monitor declaring:

“Respect for the community is excellent – the local community are actively encouraged to engage with the site, and this is achieved to an exemplary standard.”

The CCS aims to improve the image of construction whilst also rewarding those in the industry who are performing at the very highest levels.  We have an Associate Member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme since 2010 and all of our projects are registered under the Scheme.
